Dr. Rusaila Bazlamit is a digital designer, visual communicator, lecturer in design and digital media, an experimental artist and an occasional art curator. She has been lecturing at a university level in areas of Architecture, Design, Digital and Interactive Media in Jordan and Australia. Please click here for more about her academic work. Rusaila founded Lab Tajribi | Experimental Expressions, to represent her creative identity. Her practice employs experimentation, with different tools, media, and modes of expression, as a methodological approach. She is mainly interested in political activism, social justice and representations of the misrepresented.

Rusaila has obtained her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Design from Curtin University, Australia in 2018. Her thesis is titled “Designing Activist Spatial Experiences Using Mixed-Media Virtual Environments”. She also hold a Master of Science degree in Design and Digital Media from University of Edinburgh, Scotland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Jordan University, Jordan.

Rusaila is of Palestinian and Macedonian heritage. She speaks English and Arabic fluently and Macedonian to a good extent. She is currently based in Melbroune, Australia.
