Grief is a solo journey to come to terms with loss. It might feel like falling into the black void. But what can an extended hand do? This work explores how the solitude can be affected by a chanced companionship. Through its interactive nature, this artwork will ask you to extend your hand and discover for yourself.

The work evokes empathy and understanding of those who are grieving or accepting one’s own grief. The hand in this work is to be understood conceptually representing many outer forces that can help the one who is grieving.

This work is built using a game engine “Unity 3D” and the interaction is occurring through using Infrared sensor “Leap Motion Controller”.
